Decals:
How
to Apply
return to custom decal ordering page
 |
First, with masking tape, hang your decal
exacty where you want it... use a
measuring tape if you want to
be sure it is level. |
 |
Next, hold the decal up in
the air and
grab a corner of the backing and
begin pulling it off... |
 |
... gently remove the entire
backing,
being careful to not let the sticky
back of the decal touch itself or
any other surface. |
 |
Once the backing is removed,
lower the decal by holding it in the center so that the bottom
corners cannot flop over and touch each other . Using the optional
squeegee or a credit card, begin pressing the decal into place. |
 |
Start at the top center and
gradually work your way down... work from the center, pressing
to one side for a bit... |
 |
...and then to the other side. |
 |
Just keep working your way
to the bottom of the decal, pressing air bubbles toward the exterior
of the decal as you go. |
 |
Once the decal is in place,
take your squeegee and firmly smooth over the entire decal. |
 |
Don't forget this step!
Now you can loosen the masking tape at the top and slowly remove
the top film off the decal! |

You're
done!
Time to enjoy your decal.
If there are some small air bubbles, simply take
the point of an X-acto knife or any fine point stylist and prick
the bubbles.
Then with your squeegee you can flatten them down. |
